I was on a panel titled “Why Quality Sound Matters” moderated by mastering engineer Piper Payne, with Mark Ruxkin (Rdio), Maureen Droney (Recording Academy Producers and Engineers Wing) and Randy Leasure (Pono). The audio transcript is on SoundCloud. It was a real eye-opener to see the how the world of hi-tech is changing the music business. The conversation about quality is important to this group. There’s a lot of energy and enthusiasm in this space!
